Smart Technologies, Digital Competencies, and Workforce Development

چکیده

A mixed methods case study of the Government Canada provides a lens through which skills development and training challenges confronting public sector in an era digitization smart technologies can be examined. Findings related to four key inter-related themes emerged from analysis survey interview data: i) current sufficiencies will challenged by coming demands; ii) digital transformation is recognized as critical, but requires significant cultural organizational change; iii) employees are uncertain about use technologies; iv) there demand for expanded opportunities address these challenges. These findings reflect broader context, particular increasing importance hybrid skill sets that transcend traditional boundaries between technical non-technical functions skills, need more open integrative venues discussion regarding initiatives.
